My passion for Reiki started 22 years ago. The extraordinary body-mind healing and personal transformation that I have experienced through my Reiki practise have motivated me to share my learnings by becoming a teacher. I chose to specialize in the Japanese lineage of Reiki because I want to apply the practice techniques taught by the founder, Usui Sensei.
I was introduced to Reiki in 1998 by Reiki Master Ellen Heinze in Leiden. Before starting the teaching, she asked us whether we were ready to change our lives because that is what Reiki was going to do. My friend and I looked at each other in a moment of hesitation, not understanding what it meant; however we decided to go forward and to tell you the truth, Reiki has completely transformed my life.
My desire to teach Reiki took me to Petter Arjava in Stuttgart (DE) for my Teacher's certification (2004) in the Usui Reiki System. After having initiated 15 students around the world, in 2015, I specialized in Jikiden Reiki, the original teaching of Reiki as taught in Japan by the founder. And in 2016, following the Jikiden Reiki Congress in Kyoto, I took the certification of Shihan-Kaku (junior teacher), to share my knowledge with others according to the traditional Jikiden Reiki practice.
In addition to helping the physical body to detoxify, Reiki helps improve our mind and guide us on our spiritual path.
By applying the Five Reiki Principles, stated in the Gokai:
Don't be angry
Work on yourself
Be kind to others
this secret art of living invites happiness into our lives
Personally, I have been living and incorporating the Gokai in my daily life. The journey has been challenging at moments of resistance to change, and it has been magical at moments of trust. I don't regret one single moment of having started my Reiki journey. I have found my path to happiness, so come and join this Reiki journey for your own happiness!
